Biden leads Trump by 11 in the district, and both Eastman and Biden hold strong leads among those who have already voted

A new poll of voters in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, commissioned by the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC and conducted by FM3, shows Democrat Kara Eastman with a two point lead over Don Bacon 47-45%. Joe Biden is leading President Trump by eleven points, 53-42%. Click here to see the polling memo.

Among those who have already voted, Eastman leads 59-36%, while Biden leads 58-33%.

“Kara Eastman has continued to earn the support of Nebraskans by running a grassroots campaign that puts the needs of working families in her district first,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Mark Pocan, Pramila Jayapal, and Jamie Raskin. “She is in a strong position to win this election, because voters know that Kara will fight to lower the cost of prescription drugs, make sure that workers have access to paid family leave and paid sick leave, and stand up to corporate special interests in Washington.”

FM3 surveyed 450 likely general election voters in NE-02 from October 1-4, 2020. The margin of error is +/- 4.6%.

Earlier this year, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC announced plans to invest over $1 million this cycle to support its endorsed candidates. This summer, the PAC launched its first-ever independent expenditure campaign, helping Mondaire Jones (NY-17) and Beth Doglio (WA-10) win their primaries. The program is one of the only IEs focused solely on supporting progressives running for Congress.
