WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced its endorsement of Val Hoyle, the Democratic nominee in Oregon’s 4th congressional district.

““It’s an honor to receive the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC. I stand with the CPC’s priorities of lifting up hardworking Americans by raising the minimum wage, ensuring access to health care for all, protecting Social Security for this and future generations, and investing in our communities to create good jobs and build the infrastructure that will lead us to a clean energy future,” said Val Hoyle. “I look forward to working with CPC members in Congress to continue Peter DeFazio’s legacy of fighting for the working families of the 4th District.”

“Val Hoyle has a proven record of delivering on progressive priorities that matter to working families. From her time as Oregon’s House Majority Leader to her current work as Oregon’s Labor Commissioner, Val has fought tirelessly to raise the minimum wage, protect workers from wage theft and discrimination, and expand paid sick leave,” said Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Co-Chairs Mark Pocan, Pramila Jayapal, and Jamie Raskin. “Congressman Peter DeFazio was a founding member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and will be sorely missed in his retirement, but Oregonians have a tremendous opportunity to elect a leader who will continue his dogged fight on behalf of his constituents. We are proud to endorse Val’s campaign to be the first woman to represent Oregon’s 4th Congressional District.

In 2020, the PAC raised $4.4 million and launched its first-ever independent expenditure arm, helping elect eight new candidates to Congress.
