WASHINGTON — Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced its endorsement of Delaware state Senator Sarah McBride in the state’s congressional primary.

“Sarah McBride personifies commitment to building government that acts as an instrument of the common good,” said Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Co-Chairs Reps. Mark Pocan, Pramila Jayapal and Jamie Raskin. “In the Delaware state Senate, Sarah has been a proven progressive changemaker and a forceful advocate for Delaware families, helping to raise the minimum wage and pass landmark paid family and medical leave legislation.  As the first openly transgender state senator in our country’s history, Sarah has been a national inspiration and her leadership is needed in Congress. We are proud to endorse her campaign.”

“I am truly honored to receive the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC. Their tireless efforts in championing economic opportunity for all, universal health care, and real solutions to our nation’s most urgent crises resonate deeply with my own values,” said Sarah McBride. “In Delaware, I’ve helped to deliver bold policy by building bridges across our state and, if elected, I look forward to working with members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus to build a government that sees all of us and an economy that works for everyone. As we continue to build a winning coalition heading into 2024, I’m proud to have CPC’s support in this historic campaign.”

The CPC PAC is the political arm of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest Democratic ideological caucus. The CPC PAC exists to elect strong progressive leaders to Congress who share our vision for America’s future and will embody the present and future of the progressive movement. In the 2022 cycle, the CPC PAC raised over $4 million and helped to elect 17 new members to Congress.
