Washington — Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced it has endorsed Lauren Babb Tomlinson in the June 2nd primary election for California’s 6th Congressional District.
“Lauren Babb Tomlinson is a working mother who has spent her career championing the rights of Californians as a labor organizer and a reproductive health care leader,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Greg Casar and Maxwell Frost. “As a mother to a young child, Lauren will bring a much-needed perspective to Congress and fight every day on behalf of families being squeezed by rising costs. Lauren is a proven leader who chaired the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, created California’s first Women’s Economic Recovery Grant Program and led advocacy efforts for America’s largest Planned Parenthood affiliate. In Congress, Lauren will continue to work to secure and strengthen reproductive rights while leading on family-friendly policies including early childhood education, universal childcare and national paid Family and Medical Leave. America needs more people like Lauren in Congress and we are proud to endorse her.”
“I’m proud and honored to earn the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC,” said Lauren Babb Tomlinson. “From defending reproductive rights to expanding health care access to raising wages, the CPC has led the charge on the issues that matter most to families in CA-06. That’s the kind of backbone Congress needs more of and it’s exactly the work I’m committed to doing when I get there. Together, we will deliver real results for working families.”
Over the past three election cycles, the CPC PAC has raised over $13 million and invested in progressive candidates across the country. Over the decade, a majority of CPC PAC’s pre-primary endorsements have gone on to win their race in the general election. In 2024, the CPC was the only ideological caucus to send new members to Congress in 50% or more of races in which its affiliated PAC made a pre-primary endorsement.
