WASHINGTON — Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced its endorsement of California Assemblymember Laura Friedman for California’s 30th Congressional District.
“Laura Friedman has an outstanding record of taking on the status quo and pushing for progress in California,” said Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Co-Chairs Mark Pocan, Pramila Jayapal, and Jamie Raskin. “In the legislature, where she co-founded and serves as Policy Director of the California Legislative Progressive Caucus, Laura co-authored single-payer health care legislation, wrote first-in-the-nation legislation to combat climate change and led the fight to pass bills that protect renters and expand affordable housing. She is a persistent and proven progressive champion and we are thrilled to support her campaign.”
“I am so honored to have the support of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC,” said Laura Friedman. “As a co-founder of the California Legislative Progressive Caucus, I know how vital it is to have a clear and cohesive voice to ensure that everyone has a seat at the table. The CPC is the conscience of the Congress, and I look forward to joining them when I am elected.”
The CPC PAC is the political arm of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest Democratic ideological caucus. The CPC PAC exists to elect strong progressive leaders to Congress who share our vision for America’s future and will embody the present and future of the progressive movement. In the 2022 cycle, the CPC PAC raised over $4 million and helped to elect 17 new members to Congress.
