[WASHINGTON, DC] – The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC today announced its endorsement of Julie Oliver for Texas’s 25th congressional district.

“Julie Oliver knows that the urgency of this moment requires bold progressive solutions,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, and Jamie Raskin. “In fighting for universal health care, good jobs that pay a living wage, high-quality education for all kids, and protecting Social Security benefits and our environment, Julie is campaigning on a vision that finally puts working families and their priorities first—above corporations and the ultra-wealthy. The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC is proud to endorse her grassroots campaign.”

TX-25 Democratic nominee Julie Oliver released the following statement:

“From passing bold, sweeping legislation like H.R 1 to conducting intensive oversight of the corruption in the Trump administration, members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC fight every day to defend our democracy. CPC PAC members know that, in order to create meaningful change in the lives of working Americans, any Democratic agenda must center anti-corruption legislation, while fighting the systemic inequities in our healthcare and justice systems. I’m honored to have the support of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC in this race, and I look forward to joining them once in Congress to advocate and enact into law progressive policies to deliver universal healthcare, save our burning planet, and ensure that every single one of us is afforded the dignity we all deserve.”

Oliver joins the CPC PAC’s previous endorsements of the 2020 election cycle, including challenger candidates Dana Balter (NY-24), Kara Eastman (NE-02), Georgette Gomez (CA-53), Jon Hoadley (MI-06), JD Scholten (IA-04), Kai Kahele (HI-02), Ritchie Torres (NY-15), Jamaal Bowman (NY-16), Candace Valenzuela (TX-24), Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-03), Marie Newman (IL-03), Mondaire Jones (NY-17), Mike Siegel (TX-10), and Beth Doglio (WA-10).
