WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced its endorsement of Jill Tokuda in Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district.

“The Congressional Progressive Caucus has been at the forefront of many critical issues that are important to the people of Hawaiʻi,” said Jill Tokuda. “From fighting for greater access to healthcare, advocating for more affordable housing, and standing up for reproductive justice, these are the issues that are top of mind for many in Hawaiʻi’s Second Congressional District. I am proud to receive Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC’s endorsement and I look forward to joining them in the fight to bring real change to working families across the country.”

“Jill Tokuda knows what it takes to deliver for the people of Hawaii.  A tireless leader with first-hand experience as a state legislator, Jill will fight for her community’s safety and find relief to the high cost of living,” said Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, and Jamie Raskin. In Hawaii, Jill has led on affordable housing, education, women’s reproductive freedom, and gun violence prevention, and she’ll do the same in Congress. She is refusing to accept donations from corporate PACs, and her years of state leadership means she is ready to go from day one to stand up for Hawaii families. We are proud to endorse Jill in her bid for Congress.”

In 2020, the PAC raised $4.4 million and launched its first-ever independent expenditure arm, helping elect eight new candidates to Congress.
