[WASHINGTON, DC] – The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC today announced its endorsement of Jamaal Bowman for New York’s 16th congressional district.

“Jamaal Bowman is a progressive champion who knows that bold solutions are required to meet the challenges that working families across this country face,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, and Jamie Raskin. “His vision for change and his work as an educator and a leader for New York teachers, students, and families bring a critical and necessary voice to the progressive movement. The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC is proud to endorse his campaign and we look forward to working alongside him in Congress.”

“I could not be more proud to receive the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC,” said Jamaal Bowman. “Whether it’s fighting back against President Trump, or pushing President Biden towards bold solutions that match the scale of this crisis — no matter what happens in November, we’re going to need a strong Progressive Caucus. Today, I am proud to stand alongside the CPC PAC, and I look forward to joining their members to fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, housing reform, and to raise the minimum wage.”

Bowman joins the CPC PAC’s previous endorsements of the 2020 election cycle, including challenger candidates Dana Balter (NY-24), Kara Eastman (NE-02), Georgette Gomez (CA-53), Jon Hoadley (MI-06), JD Scholten (IA-04), Kai Kahele (HI-02), Ritchie Torres (NY-15), Mike Siegel (TX-10), Candace Valenzuela (TX-24), Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-03), Marie Newman (IL-03), Mondaire Jones (NY-17) and Beth Doglio (WA-10).
