Washington — Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced it has endorsed former Secretary of Labor and current Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis in the June 2nd primary election for California’s 38th Congressional District.

“Hilda Solis, the San Gabriel Valley-raised daughter of working-class immigrants, is a proven fighter for the working-class and the vulnerable,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Greg Casar and Maxwell Frost. “Hilda is a trailblazer, the first Latina elected to California’s state Senate and the first to lead a federal agency. As a county supervisor, state legislator, progressive member of Congress and U.S. Secretary of Labor, Hilda has enacted first-in-the-nation environmental justice legislation and strongly advocated for workers’ rights, better wages and workplace safety. Hilda’s track record speaks for itself and we enthusiastically endorse her campaign.”

“I’m incredibly humbled to receive the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC,” said Hilda Solis. Throughout my four decades in public service, I have been a proud progressive, fighting to uphold working-class values and support working families. The CPC’s support is yet another sign of the strong and growing coalition standing behind our campaign. I am deeply grateful for their endorsement to be the next Congressmember for CA – 38.”

Over the past three election cycles, the CPC PAC has raised over $13 million and invested in progressive candidates across the country. Over the decade, a majority of CPC PAC’s pre-primary endorsements have gone on to win their race in the general election. In 2024, the CPC was the only ideological caucus to send new members to Congress in 50% or more of races in which its affiliated PAC made a pre-primary endorsement.
