WASHINGTON — Today the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced its endorsement of Harry Dunn for Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District.
“Harry Dunn is a hero who courageously fought back against insurrectionists on January 6th with American democracy at stake. Now Harry is running for Congress to champion a democracy-focused agenda to expand voting rights, ban congressional representatives from becoming lobbyists and to get corporate money out of politics,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Mark Pocan, Pramila Jayapal and Jamie Raskin. “And Harry’s commitment to building a stronger America doesn’t stop there. He is also running on strengthening unions by passing the PRO Act, honoring our obligation to seniors by raising the income cap for Social Security, supporting younger people by passing the College for All Act and recognizing health care as a human right with Medicare for All. Harry Dunn will be a powerful presence in Washington and progressives enthusiastically support his campaign.”
“Growing up in a middle-class military family here in Maryland, I know firsthand the challenges facing working people and the bold reforms that our state and nation need. I’m running for Congress to help deliver that change and I’m honored to accept the endorsement of the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC in this fight,” Harry Dunn said. “For too long, special interests and corporate megadonors have bought and sold our elections and our democracy, while working people have been left behind. That’s why Congress needs more fighters who have real-world experience with the problems pressing our communities and who will fight for working people and make democracy work for us, not the special interest donors. With CPC’s support, I’ll work tirelessly to advance a progressive agenda that puts the needs of working families first.”
The CPC PAC is the political arm of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest Democratic ideological caucus. The CPC PAC exists to elect strong progressive leaders to Congress who share our vision for America’s future and will embody the present and future of the progressive movement. In the 2022 cycle, the CPC PAC raised over $4 million and helped to elect 17 new members to Congress.
