WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced its endorsement of Donna Edwards for Maryland’s 4th Congressional District.

“Congresswoman Donna Edwards helped pioneer many progressive legislative priorities, like being an original Medicare for All co-sponsor and championing raising the minimum wage,” said Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Co-Chairs Mark Pocan, Pramila Jayapal and Jamie Raskin. “Her progressive voice has been missed in the House chamber, and our members voted enthusiastically to endorse her for Maryland’s Fourth District. We look forward to working with Congresswoman Edwards in the fight to deliver for Maryland and the American people.”

“I am proud of the work I did in conjunction with the Congressional Progressive Caucus during my previous time in office and I am honored to receive this endorsement,” said Congresswoman Donna Edwards. “I know firsthand the strength and influence that the Progressive Caucus has built across the Hill, and I am excited to be able to work together to make real and meaningful change.”

In 2020, the PAC raised $4.4 million and launched its first-ever independent expenditure arm, helping elect eight new candidates to Congress.
