WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) announced its endorsement of Congressman Mondaire Jones for New York’s 10th Congressional District.

“Mondaire Jones has been a staunch progressive fighter in the House since making history as the first openly gay, Black Member of Congress last cycle,“ said Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Mark Pocan, and Jamie Raskin. “As a leader within the caucus, he’s been at the forefront of the fight to preserve and protect our democracy, and deliver for working families—in New York, and around the country. Whether it’s pushing to cancel student debt or protesting outside our nation’s Capitol to prevent millions of Americans from being expelled from their homes, Mondaire Jones has shown up—and delivered—for our nation’s most underserved communities. And we’re proud to endorse his campaign for re-election today.”

“CPC PAC has been instrumental in electing, and reelecting, strong progressive champions to Congress. It has worked tirelessly to uplift progressive voices across the country—to help push forward the Democratic agenda for a brighter future for hard-working Americans, and to pass progressive legislation that will help us build a better America,” said Rep. Jones. “As a leader in the Progressive Caucus, and a proud progressive, it means the world to receive the PAC’s endorsement in my reelection campaign. I can’t wait to continue leading the progressive fights for Supreme Court expansion, universal child care, and humane immigration policy alongside my progressive colleagues.”

In 2020, the PAC raised $4.4 million and launched its first-ever independent expenditure arm, helping elect eight new candidates to Congress.
