Washington — Today, the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) congratulated Dr. Adam Hamawy on winning the Democratic nomination for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District.
“We are pleased to congratulate Dr. Adam Hamawy on winning the Democratic nomination to represent New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District,” said CPC PAC Co-Chairs Pramila Jayapal, Greg Casar and Maxwell Frost. “An army doctor who served in Iraq and came back from Gaza to run for Congress on a bold progressive platform, Adam is a leader well-suited for this moment. He rejected corporate PAC & AIPAC money and instead ran on taking on the establishment, unrigging the economy and fighting for the working-class and vulnerable by passing Medicare for All, abolishing ICE and taking on corruption in DC. Adam has an amazing history of public service and we can’t wait to welcome him to our Caucus.”
Over the past three election cycles, the CPC PAC has raised over $13 million and invested in progressive candidates across the country. Over the decade, a majority of CPC PAC’s pre-primary endorsements have gone on to win their race in the general election. In 2024, the CPC was the only ideological caucus to send new members to Congress in 50% or more of races in which its affiliated PAC made a pre-primary endorsement.
