Washington, D.C. (June 21, 2018) – The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) – the political arm of the 78-member Congressional Progressive Caucus – today congratulated CPC PAC endorsed candidate Jared Golden on his primary election victory in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.

“Jared Golden has a long record of serving his country, first as a Marine during combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and then as a Member of the Maine House of Representatives,” said Rep. Mark Pocan, Co-Chair of the CPC PAC. “Jared is an experienced leader who understands the issues middle class families face and he’s committed to fighting for them. From tackling our nation’s opioid epidemic to expanding economic opportunity, Jared will take on the hard topics and deliver results. With a strong and energetic campaign, I strongly believe that Jared will win the election and bring his ideas and solutions to Capitol Hill.”

Jared Golden is an experienced Democratic leader with a record of standing up for middle- and working-class values. He has fought for expanded access to healthcare, stronger unions, fairer wages, cleaner energy, stronger environmental standards, and lower prescription medication costs for Maine’s seniors. Golden continues to stand up for his community and his beliefs, and he has been able to deliver real results to the people he was elected to serve.

CPC PAC will continue to provide support for Golden and looks forward to welcoming him as a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus – the largest values-based caucus in the House of Representatives – in the 116th Congress.
