Washington, D.C., August 29th, 2018 – The Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC (CPC PAC) – the political arm of the 78-member Congressional Progressive Caucus – today congratulated CPC PAC endorsed incumbent Representative Darren Soto in the 9th Congressional District and CPC PAC endorsed candidates Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in the 26th Congressional District following their wins in yesterday’s primary elections.

“Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC endorsed incumbents and candidates continue to win primaries across the country by running on an inclusive, populist agenda that draws a clear contrast with Republicans like Carlos Curbelo, whose corporate, special interest driven policies have failed to address the needs of working families,” said Rep. Mark Pocan, Co-Chair of the CPC PAC. “Darren and Debbie are authentic leaders who will fight for the people, not the powerful, in Washington.”

CPC PAC candidates are running strong grassroots-powered campaigns and championing big ideas like Medicare For All, which will support working families and create an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well connected.

CPC PAC will continue to provide support for Representative Soto and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and looks forward to welcoming them as members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus – the largest values-based caucus in the House of Representatives – in the 116th Congress.
