Washington, D.C. – March 20th, Congressman Mark Pocan, Congressman Raúl Grijalva, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, Lake Partners’ Celinda Lake, and representatives from leading progressive organizations held a press call on Tuesday to discuss the results of a recent Lake Research Partners poll of progressive policies in 2018 battleground congressional districts. The polling was co-commissioned by the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC, Democracy for America, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and the Roosevelt Forward.
This new Lake Research Partners poll of voters in 30 targeted swing districts finds that progressive Democrats have a tremendous opportunity in the 2018 election to win these districts, and they can run and win on progressive policies. The poll found that in these districts, mostly held by Republican incumbents, voters enthusiastically support progressive policies and progressive messaging works, both to persuade swing voters and to mobilize the base.
